Born in Kalamazoo, raised in San Diego, and recent DePaul University Film School graduate. I am currently based in Chicago.
Since teaching myself how to use iMovie on my family's iMac in second grade, I have been drawn to the creative power of filmmaking. I fell in love with film the moment I lined up a music track over video, instantly forming a new meaning on the screen. Since then, I have made filmmaking a large part of my life.
I am drawn to films that make me think differently about the world. I love asking questions that don’t have easy answers. This gray area is where I find most inspiration in my work. Similarly, I enjoy philosophy books, art rock music, and travel—all of which have the effect of building up and questioning my sense of the world.
I have extensive knowledge of and passion for filmmaking and photography, with confidence in directing, writing, editing, and cinematography. I am drawn to work that incorporates purposeful camera movement, physical space, and visual aesthetics. I have a strong sense of directing for camera, sequencing footage, and maintaining high standards for the quality of my work.
